A brief introduction

My wife, Amy, and I have been married 45 years and are blessed with two wonderful daughters, equally wonderful sons-in-law and 7 crazy grandchildren.  Before moving to the Grand Rapids, MI area, we were innkeepers of The Hexagon House Bed and Breakfast in Pentwater, Michigan for nearly 10 years.  We loved living in this cozy village just south of Ludington on the shore of Lake Michigan. It was here that My West Michigan Wedding was born as I saw the need for a professional, ordained officiant willing to serve couples who wanted to have their marriage ceremony in beautiful West Michigan.  

Before becoming an innkeeper in west Michigan, I was involved in church development for 25 years in both part and full-time capacities.  My responsibilities provided 30 years of public speaking experience in front of all types of audiences.  I was ordained with the Church of God in Indiana, but worked as a lay minister for several different denominations including Lutheran, Methodist and non-denominational churches, as well as an international church consulting firm. This experience helps me assist couples with different faith backgrounds or with no faith background at all.
